Patricia Ann Taylor Haley, age 81, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Medical City McKinney, Texas surrounded by family.
She was born on February 19, 1940, in New Castle, Pennsylvania to the late Harry H. Taylor and Cleora (Fauzey) Taylor. In 1958, Patricia graduated from Marion Catholic High School.
Patricia loved to laugh, and her dry sense of humor made people either chuckle or roll their eyes. She was always eager to share a new joke or funny story with family members, but all-to-often, after setting her audience up for the gag, she would forget the punchline, which often resulted in more laughter than if she would have delivered the punchline flawlessly.
She got her love of art from her mother and especially liked designing and creating beautifully scripted cards to send to others.
Patricia had a heart for missions, giving funds to teenagers going on mission trips, and in recent years helping support her niece’s Gospel Campaigns into Africa with Crazy About You Ministries, being part of seeing over 3,000 people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior in the past three years.
She had a great compassion and burden for all her family to come to a saving faith in her Lord, Jesus Christ. In spite of all of her problems and challenges, she continued to rest in the hope and peace she received from her relationship with Jesus. She prayed faithfully for her family and friends.
She leaves a legacy of impacting others with her encouragement and love for Jesus.
Left to cherish her memory include her daughter Kathleen (Gene) Ruble of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Victoria Bull, Joy Ruble and Sierra Earl; great grandchildren, Joshua Brooks and Emiko Baptist; sisters, Judy (Pat) O’Hara and Kay (Jim) Merritt; nieces and nephews, Chris Neidig, Karen Utley, Dan Neidig, Julie Earl, Michael O’Hara and Nancy Long; as well as many other family members.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Cleora and daughter, Sarah Renee Baker
There will be an Afternoon of Remembrance from 3:00pm - 5:00pm on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Allen Family Funeral Options. A Celebration of her Life will begin at 3:00pm.
