Pamela Jan (Dennis) Cowser was born on June 25, 1952 in Dallas, Texas. At the age of 19 she boarded a
plane for Los Angeles and began a lifelong adventure of Christian ministry with Covenant Players that
would last until her passing in Plano, Texas on July 23, 2022. She is survived by her husband, Bart
Cowser; and siblings, Sam Dennis, Kim Kramer, and David Dennis.Pam’s life was a continuous act of devotion to the greatest love of her life, the Lord Jesus Christ. Herpassion for Him radiated in everything she did - from her performances, to her teaching and mentoring,
and her amazing gift of scheduling ministry opportunities for Covenant Players’ teams, both her own
and others’. Her love for Jesus shone in the love she shared with her husband, her family, her ministry
colleagues, and truly everyone who knew her. How can one adequately describe a life of ministry that
includes approximately 2,500 programs and 1,100 roles on three continents and four languages? Or
pioneering the work of Covenant Players’ ministry in France with only two years of high school French?
When she could no longer travel full time, she continued to schedule programs for the teams traveling
through the area and perform with them when she could. She was actively involved in local theatre
performing as recently as April 2022 as Linda Loman in Death of a Salesman while quietly battling
ongoing health issues. As her husband often says, “She is the most courageous human being I have ever
met in my life.”She loved the Church and she loved her church, Redemption Church in Frisco, where she led the team of
lay readers, taught Sunday school for the children, and was currently facilitating her life group’s study of
C.S. Lewis’ Mere Christianity. That life group returned her love by keeping round the clock vigil with her
and her husband during her final hospitalization.
She will be sorely missed by all who knew her; but we also rejoice confidently that she was greeted with
the words of her Savior, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”A memorial service (https://redemptionfrisco.org/event/pam-cowser-service) will be held at 2:00 PM,
August 6, 2022 at Redemption Church, 7164 Technology Dr, Frisco, TX 75034. Please RSVP at
