Claudia Olga Hendrata was born in Jakarta, Indonesia on May 4, 1981, and she was the second child of Paulus Goko Hendrata and Lilyana Widjaja.
Olga is described as smart, funny, eccentric, detail oriented and a creative person. She went to Santa Ursula from kindergarten until middle school, and then migrated to the U.S. in 2000 after her graduation from Tarakanita High School.
As a college student in Pasadena City College, Olga stayed at her sister Nadya's condo in Alhambra, California. She went to a retreat that was held by the Mudika in ICADLA where she later met her husband, Riyanto Ginting. They have three children.
She always spoke highly of her children behind their backs and prioritized their education before all else; their needs always came before her own. Though she was tough on them, it was because she wanted the best for them and was always there for their highs, lows, and everything in between. Olga saw each and every one of her children's potentials and would never stop short until their talents were fully harnessed to change the world. She showed her affection to her children by doing anything from giving them personal life advice appropriated to their circumstances to praying endlessly while embracing her children in her warm arms. As a dedicated house mom, her children say she was, without a doubt, the most caring, genuine, and loving mother there was.
Passionate about fashion and aspiring to be a fashion stylist herself, Olga always wanted to follow her mama's footsteps. Whether it be shopping sprees alongside her oldest son Cayden, helping style her friends, or complementing others on their stylistic choices, she found great joy in mix-and-matching colorful fabrics. She highly valued the way she and her loved ones carried themselves, and this played into both the way they dressed and the way they communicated to those around them.
Olga tragically passed away on December 29, 2022 in Coppell, Texas while on Christmas vacation right before eating at her favorite barbeque restaurant.
Olga is survived by her husband Riyanto Ginting; and her children Cayden (17), Cayla (12) and Calson (10) all of Fontana, California; sister Nadya Collard and brother-in-law Corey; nephew James Collard, all of Plano, Texas. She will be remembered by her children forever and her legacy will live on through them.
Olga always lived by her motto, "Try your best and let God handle the rest.”
