Neal Curtis Harsh

December 12, 1943 — September 23, 2018

Neal Curtis Harsh was born December 12, 1943 in Connersville, Indiana to parents Gail and Murriel (Ailes) Harsh.

Neal Harsh grew up on the family farm in Connersville, Indiana. He was milking cows at 5 years old and working the paper route by 10 years of age. He graduated from Connersville High School in 1962 and continued his education by going to Purdue and Indiana University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business. He then joined the Army during the Vietnam War and rose to the rank of a SPC 4 in only two short years and was honorably discharged. Neal was an Apparel Salesman (AKA a Rag Peddler) and worked for many apparel companies including Ship N Shore and Manhattan Shirt Company. He later moved to new home sells in the DFW area.

Neal was in the Bachelor Club of Oklahoma City, with Judy’s cousin when he was introduced to Judy Anderson. Neal and Judy were married April 14th, 1973 in a wedding chapel in Pasadena, Texas. They were married 45 years and had two beautiful girls, Tiffany and Amber. He became “Poppy” to 7 amazing grandkids. If you were one of Tiffany or Amber’s friends, then Neal adopted you as one of his own. Neal loved going on vacations with his family. He would teach his daughters and grandkids to fish, bait hooks, tube down rivers and shoot guns. Neal had a love of golf and would spend time watching and playing golf with his family and friends. Neal was one of those guys that if you needed help with anything he would drop what he was doing and help. He had a unique, one of a kind sense of humor and brought laughter into any situation. Neal will be deeply missed.

Neal is survived by his loving wife Judy Harsh; daughters Tiffany Kvale and her husband Josh, Amber Orr and her husband Michael; grandchildren Zachary (17), Jeremy (13), Jessica (12) Kvale, Kellan (14), Madisyn (7), Maesyn (7), Madden (3) Orr and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends.
