Millie Plinario

September 9, 1927 — December 10, 2022

Mildred Plinario was born to Fernando Dominguez and Emilia Rivera in Ciales, Puerto Rico on September 9, 1927.  She had 5 sisters, Ileana, Lillian, Iris, Judy, Emily and 1 brother Hector.  Millie peacefully passed away Friday, December 9, 2022, with dignity and honor in the presence of her loving husband, DJ, of 72 years at age 95.

Millie graduated from Elim Bible Institute and College in 1948, she served the Lord in many capacities. In her early years as a missionary, singing with her father and interpreting for him as they preached the gospel. Millie was incredibly instrumental as a mentor to many, a gifted worship leader, choir director, and teacher.

Millie and DJ “Buster” were married in 1951 in New York City. During their 72 years of marriage, they had three children; Debra, Gary, and Darryl, and later added a daughter, their wedding flower girl, Millie Jensen, to the family.  The family grew with eight grandchildren, Lori, Phillip, Nathan, Sarah, Zachary, Dylan, Logan, and Canyon. 16 great grandchildren; Michael, Isabella, Parker, Vhalyn, Noah, Phillip, Isaiah, Micah, Jackson, Samuel, Elleanor, Isaiah, Hayden, Olivia, Lucas, Benjamin, and Connor. One great, great granddaughter, Sarai. Millie and DJ have always had an open home to many throughout the years, many of which have adopted them as family as well

Millie was a as bundle of energy from the very beginning, and never stopped being a force for God!

Many knew her as Millie, others as Mildred. We all knew her as a Prayer Warrior and a Champion for God. She was the best kind of Christian, one whose heart was branded by God, and you knew this with every encounter.

Millie always had a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye, she would listen when needed, pray for your needs, counsel if asked, laugh when necessary and always loved unconditionally. She was vivacious, called tenacious, called the church lady, the worship leader, and a great cook. She loved her flowers and plants. Millie loved life, she lived a full life and cherished being surrounded by her husband, children, family, and friends.
