Michelle (Timpe) Dubman went to her Lord and Savior on December 6, 2021.
Michelle was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to David and Cecilia (Smith) Timpe, shortly thereafter moved to the San Jose, California area where her father decided to open a business. As a young child, Michelle enjoyed all the typical delights of living in northern California. At the age of ten, Michelle and her mother moved to southern Illinois to be near their maternal family, where she attended high school and later went to Rend Lake College. A future businesswoman in the making.
Michelle met her husband Steve through their mutual work in telecommunications. Michelle truly enjoyed traveling, gardening and having a bird sanctuary in the backyard to watch the cardinals, hummingbirds and any other songbirds she could attract. Their shared interests allowed for extensive travel to the far reaches of the globe. If Michelle made a destination suggestion, the march was on visiting the warm sunny beaches wherever a coastline was involved.
As an avid music lover, going to outdoor festivals or live concerts provided her a joy that cannot always be attained through a normal life. Her favorite band was AC/DC. As anyone can attest, the music got loud “For those about to Rock.”
Michelle decided to challenge her intellect and go after a Paralegal dual degree in Litigation and Corporate practices. Being the consummate student, Michelle received Magna Cum Laude honors and was part of the Alpha Sigma Nu National Honor Society. She put those talents to work as the Corporate Paralegal at Tellabs. In her spare time, Michelle volunteered as a legal aid for underprivileged women in their time of need.
One of her great joys was being able to see Grandpa Timpe at his home in Stockton, whether in the summer or at Christmas. Michelle loved to listen to his stories about the olden days or current events, being a Yankees fan was passed through the generations. Michelle once asked Grandpa how he was able to deal with all the people during the holidays. He said, “Michelle, I just turn down my hearing aids.”
Michelle is survived by her husband, daughters and family members in Northern and Southern Illinois, California and beyond.
A piece by Ariana Dancu that best describes Michelle.
“ She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible.
She walked with the Universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings .”
“Till we meet again beautiful soul Rest in Peace.” Provided by Marti Sterling
