Michael "Mike" Stephen Dodd

Michael Stephen (Mike) Dodd, age 58, of Fairview, Texas, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021, in Justin, Texas, after a prolonged illness.

Michael was born October 16, 1962, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Robert E Dodd, Sr. and Patsy Horton Dodd. He graduated from Northwestern High School in Rock Hill, South Carolina, in 1981.  He attended Spartanburg Methodist University.  He joined the U.S. Navy in 1983 and was a Petty Officer.  He was honorably discharged in 1987 and moved to Plano, Texas.  He was a carpenter by trade, specializing in making, and installing custom cabinets.  Mike was an avid hunter and fisherman for most of his life and enjoyed being in the outdoors.

He is survived by his three children, Duncan Richards, of Colorado, Charles Mercer Dodd and Laura Michelle Dodd, of Munday, Texas; parents, Robert E Dodd, Sr., and Patsy Horton Dodd, of Fairview, Texas; brothers, Robert E Dodd, Jr. and wife Rhonda, of Prosper, Texas and David K Dodd, of Bentonville, Arkansas; six nieces and nephews and 11 great nieces and nephews.

Mike will always be known for his affability, and sense of humor.  He made friends wherever he went. He will be greatly missed.

There will be an Afternoon of Remembrance from 1-3:00 pm on Saturday, August, 21, 2021, at Allen Family Funeral Options.

It was Michael’s wish to be buried at sea by the U.S. Navy.  May he rest in Peace.
