Michael Asher Bradford was born October 20, 2009, in Dallas, Texas to parents Michael Christian and Jennifer (Edinger) Bradford.
Asher was a beautiful, sensitive, creative soul with an engaging sense of humor and a memorable laugh. He loved spending time with cats, and especially his pet Barnabas.
While at Mohawk Elementary, he was a Cub Scout in Pack 893 and earned his Arrow of Light. He enjoyed games of many kinds. When he was younger, it was board games and console games. As he grew older, he played computer games, learning to design and code the games as well. He was proud to participate in the Computer Science magnet at Richardson High School and was planning to focus on cybersecurity.
The Golden Eagle Band was also a key part of his high school experience. He learned to play the piano starting at 7 years old, specifically so that he would be prepared to be a percussionist beginning in the 6th grade. He was proud to be part of the GEB drum line playing the bass drum this past marching season. He had even begun composing music on his computer using a keyboard and electronic drum set.
We were always in awe of his capacity to learn and excel. During the healthy and happy times of his life, he participated in youth activities at Restoration Anglican and volunteered his time at VBC at First United Methodist of Richardson. He thought deeply and loved quietly. We remember his hazel eyes containing great depth and great pain. We know that he has been freed from the pain he carried and we are confident that we will see him again someday, happy and whole.
Asher is survived by his parents Christian and Jenny Bradford; siblings Greyson Bradford, Finn Bradford and Kerstin (Mendonca) Olde and her husband Michael; paternal grandparents Michael J and Nancy E Bradford; maternal grandparents Jerome and Donna Edinger; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
There will be a celebration of Asher’s life at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at First United Methodist Church of Richardson, Richardson, Texas.
