Brent Allen

August 24, 1973 — May 20, 2023

Michael “Brent” Allen who was born in Fort Worth, Texas on August 24, 1973 passed away surrounded by his loved ones on May 20, 2023.

Brent is survived by his father Russell, stepmother Sherry, brother Josh, sister Lindsey, his two daughters Brittany and Breanna and 2 grandchildren Cason and Luke in addition to many others who loved him dearly.

Brent’s two daughters held a very special place in his heart and he could never say “no”. For example, his oldest daughter was persistent on wanting hermit crabs and even after proving that she couldn’t maintain them, he couldn’t let her pass up the kiosk in the mall without seeing the smile on her face after picking one out…. Or a few. His younger daughter Breanna was into sports and he did whatever he could to make sure she was able to be involved and didn’t miss a lifetime opportunity - he was always on the sideline as her biggest cheerleader.

Anyone who knew Brent was amazed by his creative mind and phenomenal eye for design. There was no design project too challenging for Brent, he could always find a way to make his clients dreams come true. His coworkers made several comments about how they had never had someone on their team that had the level of expertise he had - he was truly one of a kind. Although he was a graphic designer for a living, his love for art was visible in every aspect of his life. You could see his creative side in everything - he designed his own tattoos, remodeled his home with his two bare hands and created design companies as hobbies and shared his knowledge with others who had the same passion. Another major interest in Brent’s life was aquariums and not just going and visiting aquariums - he loved having in home aquariums that he would hand make and maintain that contained corrals and extravagant fish.

When it came to Brent’s personality, the first word that comes to mind is goofy - he always brought out the laughter in others with his infectious smile, corny jokes and positive energy. However, don’t let the word goofy mislead you. When it came to work and relationships with others, he put the goofiness aside and brought out his intelligence, great advice and was a shoulder to cry on for many. He truly had a heart of gold and loved so deeply. It didn’t matter what time of day it was or who you were, if you needed him, he was there and never expected anything in return.

Brent is preceded in death by his mother Jean Ann Allen, grandparents Ralph and Madge Smartt and Russell and Dale Allen as well as his ultimate best sidekick “Piston”. At this moment, he is mostly likely calling his mother by the name “bird” which he referred to her as and she is walking to him for nothing at all but a pinch. Picking on her was one of his best talents which they both got so much joy out of. We know that this isn’t “goodbye”, it’s “see you later” and his mark on this world has impacted so many people that will continue to live with the amazing memories and knowledge he left behind.

Memorial services are planned for a future date and will be announced at a later date.

If so inclined, the family suggests memorials in Brent's name be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital:
