Maxine Annette Sears, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, was born on March 1, 1935 and passed from this life on December 12, 2019.
At Elder Junior High School, she met her first and only love, Donald Sears. They dated all through their tenure at North Side High School and were married in 1954. They enjoyed 64 years together and loved each other unconditionally even through the last 12 years of her journey with Alzheimer’s. They raised their family in Fort Worth before moving to Dallas in 1983. Maxine and Donald spent most of their retirement years in East Texas at Holly Lake Ranch with lifelong friends before returning to live in the metroplex in 2010 in Allen, TX.
Maxine was completely dedicated to her family and living her life in service to the Lord. Maxine lived her life serving the Lord first, others second and herself last. Her life is aptly described in Proverbs 31 “she speaks with wisdom and faithful instruction is on her tongue, she watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness, her children arise and call her blessed.” She was a loyal friend and a loving Mom all while fiercely loving and supporting her husband in business, being a church leader and in their home.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Sears, parents Charlie and Ora Belle Cornelius, sister Helen Murphy and daughter Donna Sears.
Maxine was survived by:
