Marvin L. Rosine, 89, of Allen, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025.
Born in Flint, Michigan, in 1936, Marvin lived a life marked by strength, steady purpose, and deep devotion to the people he loved. A proud graduate of the University of Michigan, Marvin was a lifelong U of M football fan, carrying the spirit of the Wolverines with him wherever he went. He built a long and respected career as an executive with General Motors, retiring after 33 years of dedicated service. Marvin was known for his integrity, leadership, and the thoughtful way he guided others.
On February 25, 1956, Marvin married the love of his life, Shirley Anne (Rourke) Rosine. Their marriage of 70 years was built on unwavering love, mutual respect, and a lifetime of shared joy. Together they created a warm and welcoming home, one filled with laughter, resilience, and the quiet comforts of family.
In retirement, Marvin and Shirley enjoyed traveling throughout Europe, China, and the Caribbean, embracing new cultures and making memories that enriched their lives and brought them closer together.
Marvin was an avid tennis player who loved the game for its competition and community. He also had a lifelong passion for card games — especially Euchre, Cribbage, Bridge and Hands & Feet — and could always be counted on for a clever play and a quick wit around the table.
Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, Emmett (Babe) and Bina Rosine; his brother Herb and Donna, Duane Rosine and Betty; and his sister Diane and Ted Moen. He is survived by his brother David Rosine and Cathy.
Above all else, Marvin was a devoted family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Anne Rosine, and their three children: Rick Rosine (wife Kelly) of Grand Blanc, Michigan. Cheryl Rosine of Phoenix, Arizona. Thomas Rosine (wife Lesa) of Plano, Texas
He was a proud grandfather to: Chelsea (Rosine) Pantalion and Nathan, Jack Rosine, Torri Rosine, Cami Rosine, Chelsea Delaney and Chris Farrell, Annie Emmert and Mckenna Emmert, Liz Delaney, Aisha Osorio.
And a loving great-grandfather to Avery Rosine, Henry Delaney, Sullivan (Sully) Emmert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Marvin’s legacy lives on through his family, who carry forward his values of kindness, resilience, and love.
A memorial will be held in his memory at 2:00 p.m., Sunday July 27, 2025, at The Heritage at Twin Creeks, 920 Stockton Dr. Allen, Texas 75013
Marvin L. Rosine was a man who lived with grace, led with humility, and loved without condition. He will be deeply missed — and forever remembered.
