Mark Alan Taylor was born March 9, 1962 in Ft Polk, Louisiana to parents Alan and Carolyn (Becker) Taylor. He passed away suddenly on November 22, 2018 in Plano, Texas.
Mark was raised in Mesquite, Texas and graduated from North Mesquite High School. After high school, he soon began his career at the Dallas Morning News and worked his way up while gaining so many great memories and friends. Mark was known for his contagious laugh, generous heart and for always lending a helping hand.
Mark leaves a legacy of love, kindness and integrity; he was a loving husband to Silvia, father figure and compassionate friend. He loved a good beach vacation and Sunday night football. He did all of this while always being genuinely supportive, caring and honest.
He is survived by his loving wife Silvia Taylor; step children Ana, Junior and Debbie; step grandchildren Nathan and Abigail; sister Marla Taylor Stewart and her husband Chad; nieces Megan and Paige and many loving friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and paternal grandparents Clarence E and Maurie J Taylor.
A memorial service to celebrate Mark's life will be held Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. at Allen Family Funeral Options, Plano, Texas with Dr. David Harms officiating. There will be a reception to follow at the funeral home.
