Mark Seggelink

May 31, 1954 — June 19, 2024

Mark Seggelink passed away June 19, 2024, at the age of 70 in Plano, Texas. He was born May 31, 1954, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to parents Clement and Althea (Fischer) Seggelink.

Mark was known for his wickedly funny personality, lighting up any room with his wit.

He graduated from Mayfield High School in Mayfield, Ohio and later attended Cleveland State University. He moved from Ohio to Texas and built a successful career in contract manufacturing sales, where he was respected for his expertise and tenacity.

Before retirement, Mark was a passionate enthusiast of scuba diving and triathlons. Later in life, volunteering, woodworking and restoring old minibikes were his hobbies.  He loved to travel anywhere tropical, to Sonoma, California, and in more recent years discovered the brilliance of Great Britain.  An avid Dallas Cowboys fan, he was always eager to support seemingly lost causes which included rescuing his faithful canine companion, Tanzie.

Mark is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughter, Victoria; bonus son, David Raphael and his wife, Charlotte; bonus son, Brendan Raphael; his brilliant grandchildren, Pierce, Haelee, Ian, and Isabella; siblings, Faye Seggelink, Karen Lankow, Lynn Seggelink, and Peter Seggelink; brother-in-law, Bruce Flanary and his wife Grace; nephews, Ben and Brendan, and nieces, Caitlyn, Kierstan, Hope and Molly; his Aunt Margaret (by marriage), other Flanary family, and several cousins across the pond.

In lieu of services, those wishing to honor Mark's memory can make contributions to Chihuahua Rescue and Transport at www.chihuahua-rescue.com (CRT), or to Meals on Wheels at https://www.mealsonwheelscc.org/

Though he will be deeply missed, Mark's legacy of laughter and love of family and friends will be remembered by all who knew him.
