Mark Gene Espinal

Mark Gene Espinal passed away on March 16, 2022.  He was born on February 8, 1965 in Lawton, Oklahoma to parents Robert and Renate (Eugene) Espinal.  He grew up in Lawton and also in Germany.  Mark attended Oklahoma University and was an avid Sooners fan.

He was always the funniest guy in the room.  Mark loved fishing, the restaurant business, football, all sports and an ice-cold beer.  And he was a really big fan of his Dallas Cowboys. He loved being a dad and was incredibly proud of Landry and Ireland Kate. He was passionate about everything his kids did, including John Paul II High School Football and Lacrosse and Cheer Athletics All Star Cheerleading. Mark believed in working hard so he could play hard.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Robert Espinal; grandparents, Kathe Rappe and Leo James Eugene and Jean and Mary Espinal; and father-in-law, Dennis Berkheimer.

He is survived by his wife, Ami (Berkheimer) Espinal of Plano, Texas; son, Landry; daughter, Ireland Kate; mother, Renate Eugene Espinal of Lawton, Oklahoma; sister, Carrie Espinal Wallace (Steve) of Lawton, Oklahoma; nephew, Bobby Espinal (Ashlea); mother-in-law, Judith Berkheimer; sister-in-law, Jennifer Orr (James) and nieces, Natasha and Alexandra Orr.

Private services will be held by the family.
