Mark Lawrence Anderson, a man of unwavering faith, quiet strength, and joyful spirit, passed away on April 20, 2025, at the age of 67. Born in Fairmont, Minnesota on January 16, 1958, Mark lived a life defined by service, love, and devotion—to his family, his faith, and his community.
Mark met the love of his life, Connie (Nicholson) Anderson, in Texas through a singles group at Grace Bible Church. Their connection was instant—after just one month of dating, they were engaged, and six months later they were married. As Mark always said, “When you know, you know.” Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and deep devotion to family and faith as they raised their two children, Lindsay and Matthew.
A graduate of Trinity Bible College with a Bachelor of Arts in History, Mark spent nearly four decades working as a dedicated paralegal. Though his professional career was marked by diligence and integrity, it was his personal life that most clearly reflected his character.
Mark demonstrated his love for the Lord and people through serving others. He quietly and consistently put others before himself—whether it was accompanying loved ones to doctor’s appointments and hospital visits, doing the dishes at family gatherings without ever being asked, or caring for his church family in the Agape Life Group at Parkway Hills. His acts of kindness were often unseen and never done for recognition—just the way Mark preferred it.
Mark’s fun-loving spirit brought light and laughter to all who knew him. Whether he was jumping rope at the Nicolson family reunion, performing a choreographed father-daughter dance with Lindsay at her wedding, cheering on his favorite Dallas sports teams—the Cowboys, Rangers, Mavs, and Stars— or playing card games with friends and family, Mark’s presence was a gift as he brought joy and warmth to every room.
Mark’s life was a living testimony of his faith. He didn’t just talk about faith—he lived it, every single day. He loved the Lord and served others as an expression of that love. He made people feel seen, cared for, and welcomed—not with grand gestures, but with a steady, faithful presence.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Connie Anderson; daughter, Lindsay Marolf and son-in-law, Daniel; son Matthew Anderson, and daughter-in-law, Kelly; father, Daryle Anderson; mother-in-law, Zada Nicholson; brothers, Todd Anderson (Laura) and Kurt Anderson (Lisa); brothers- and sisters-in-law, Ken Nicolson (Julie), Beverley Flynn (Darryl), Lisa McCrary (Dwayne); and many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Anderson; brother, Lee Anderson; stepmother, Cassie Anderson; and father-in-law, Randall Nicholson.
Mark’s life was a gift to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, faith, and service will live on in the hearts of everyone he touched.
