Marjorie Joan Prusha, 97, peacefully passed away in her sleep in Plano, Texas on May 22, 2026. She was born in Webster, South Dakota on February 17, 1929.
Marjorie had 8 children with her first husband George Griffith. She married James Prusha on October 23, 1986 where they happily resided in Vermillion, South Dakota in summers and Las Vegas, Nevada in winters. Upon Jim’s passing, Marge moved to Plano with her daughter Deborah and her son-in-law Dave Schroeder.
Majorie was a kind, gentle soul that loved her large family. She always found good in everyone.
She is survived by 6 of her children, Dwight (Linda) Griffith, Dana Noldner, Kim Griffith, Hugh Griffith, Colby (Helen) Griffith, Tollef Griffith and 3 of her 5 stepchildren, Steve Prusha, Donald Prusha and Richard Prusha. She has joined her son Max and daughter Deborah and her stepdaughters Dorthy Landell and Patricia Hansen in heaven. Marge prided herself on her 25 grandchildren, 40+ great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren. She picked up the nickname G-3 when she became a great-great-grandmother.
She will truly be missed.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., July 18, 2026, at Riverside Park on Walnut Street in Yankton, South Dakota.
