Marie Milton Harris

Marie passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, at age 100 in Plano, Texas. She and her beloved husband, Paul, were married for 51 years before his passing in 2001. She leaves behind her children, Laurie and Josh Thomas of Plano, Texas, and Carolyn and Jeff Harris of Portland, Oregon. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren, 6 of them now married, and 9 great-grandchildren, who reside in Oregon, Alabama and New Jersey.

Marie was known for her faith, her smile, and her distinctive voice. Although she loved to talk, she had many friends who relied on her ability to listen and to pray. She was a faithful presence at Southern Hills Baptist Church, Tulsa, for over 40 years, singing in the choir, helping with children’s activities, and attending Bible studies. She served Christian Women’s Club in Tulsa for many years, including as chairman.

After Paul retired, they traveled in their motor home, from Newfoundland to Alaska to Florida, connecting the many friends and relatives they had in North America.

She will be buried in Live Oak Memorial Park, Monrovia, California, and a memorial service will be held afterward at First Baptist Church, Monrovia.
