Maria “Olga” Ochoa was born in the small town of Taft, Texas to parents Master Sergeant Gilberto (US Army) and Lillie D. Ochoa.

Being the daughter of a military man, she was an Army brat, moving from place to place. She grew up not only in East Texas but also France and Michigan before the family finally settled down in El Paso, Texas at Fort Bliss.

Olga, as she liked to be called, was a graduate of Burges High School in El Paso before attending and graduating from nursing school at Hotel Dieu Hospital in El Paso. She started her nursing career at Hotel Dieu Hospital and Sun Towers before settling at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in Fort Bliss, Texas where she worked until retirement. After retirement she took care of her mother and after her passing, Olga then moved to Plano, Texas to be closer to her sons for the last 15 years.

Olga is survived by her sons, Gilbert Clark and his wife Juanita of Plano, Texas and Anthony Clark of Plano, Texas, sisters Minerva Olivia Roeckl and Maria Lucie DePlata, grandson Michael Clark and his wife Vallerie and great-granddaughter Julia Clark (her Reina). She was preceded in death by parents Gilberto and Lillie Ochoa.

There will be a rosary and funeral mass at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Allen Family Funeral Options.
