Maria Del Carmen Lazo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, was born on May 16, 1965, in San Miguel, El Salvador. She peacefully passed away on September 8, 2026, in her home in The Colony, Texas, surrounded by the love and presence of her family.
Maria was a woman of incredible strength, faith, and love. In 1986, she courageously immigrated to the United States with hopes of building a better life. Alongside her husband and family, she created the beautiful life she had always dreamed of. Through every challenge she faced, Maria remained strong and continued to put her faith in God.
Maria was a true testimony of what faith can carry a person through. No matter what difficult moments life brought her way, she stood strong and continued to fight with courage, love, and unwavering faith.
Maria is survived by her beloved husband, Juan Antonio Lazo; her father, Jose Francisco Larin; and her five children, William, Enrique, Wendy, Amilcar, and Carlos. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Martha, Aaliyah, Eli, Daniel, Leo, Arianna, Mia, and Saori, along with her six siblings and many other beloved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Maria Larin Chavez, and her two grandsons, Aden Antonio Lazo and Amado Francisco Bernal.
Though Maria’s absence will be deeply felt, her love, strength, and faith will continue to live on in everyone who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of family, perseverance, and devotion that will never be forgotten.
As we remember Maria, may we carry the lesson she showed us throughout her life: keep your faith strong, keep fighting, and trust in God even when the road becomes difficult. And when the fight is no longer ours to continue, may we find peace knowing that God is waiting with open arms.
Maria fought a courageous battle with cancer, and now she has found her eternal rest. She may have left this earth, but her love, her laughter, her strength, and her memory will remain in our hearts forever.
There will be a funeral service to celebrate Maria’s life at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2026, at Allen Family Funeral Options, Plano, Texas.
Maria will be laid to rest at Plano Mutual Cemetery.

Maria Del Carmen Lazo, querida esposa, madre, abuela, hija, hermana y amiga, nació el 16 de mayo de 1965 en San Miguel, El Salvador. Falleció pacíficamente el 8 de septiembre de 2026 en su hogar en The Colony, Texas, rodeada del amor y la presencia de su familia.
María era una mujer de increíble fortaleza, fe y amor. En 1986, ella inmigró valientemente a Estados Unidos con la esperanza de construir una vida mejor. Junto a su esposo y su familia, creó la hermosa vida con la que siempre había soñado. A través de cada desafío que enfrentó, María se mantuvo fuerte y continuó poniendo su fe en Dios.
