Marcella Day Flores-Arbolay was born on January 31, 1968, in Dayton, Ohio. Her parents were William Donald and Julie Alice Isenberg. Her siblings were Benjamin, Paul Andrew, and Cher Smith. She peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 12, 2025.
Marcella was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, where she graduated from Stebbins High School in 1986 where she played the flute in the band. She attended community college to become a music teacher.
She met her husband Israel Flores-Arbolay on a cold February day in 1987, and they married on April 8th, 1989.
Although she never completed her college degree, she found joy in becoming a home maker and homeschool mom. She was a faithful member in all the churches the Flores-Arbolay Family attended and was passionately driven to be good steward by raising her family to honor and glorify the Lord in all they do. She always sang in the church choir and continued to sing joyfully throughout her days.
She is survived by her husband Israel Flores-Arbolay and her children: Israel David, Micaela Shain, and Grace Marie, as well as her mother, sister, and oldest brother. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Victor Shain, stepfather William Donald Isendberg, biological father Paul Andrew Smith and brother Paul Andrew Smith II.
We are thankful for the Allen Family Funeral Options for the care they have compassionately given Marcella and the Flores-Arbolay Family. Marcella’s family would also like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice for their kindness and diligence throughout the past couple months. In addition, we are looking forward to joyfully celebrating Mom with a celebration of life at Prestonwood Baptist Church in the future.

Lastly, the Flores-Arbolay Family would like to thank our community, who has helped and supported us and Marcella throughout the years. We covet your prayers and support in the coming days. And we look forward to when we will be together forever in heaven, praising the Lord with her.
In Mom’s favorite phrase, “Go in peace, and serve the Lord.”
Rest in peace, Mama.
