Amanda Lea Tschoepe was born July 31, 1970, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to parents Joseph Paul and Barbara Ellen (Naylor) Innis.
Mandy spent her early years in Plano, Texas and graduated from Plano Senior High School in 1988. She graduated as a National Merit Scholar, Captain of the Flag Corp , a flutist in Symphonic Band, and a member of the Academic Decathlon team.
She graduated from the University of Texas in 1992 and received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with high honors. While at UT, she served as National First Vice-Chairman and State Chairman of the College Republicans and was on the debate team.
Mandy had a passion for politics and public service and had well over 30 years of leadership experience in the Republican Party. She served in Chairman positions on the State Republican Executive Committee, for the George Bush 2000 Campaign Strike Force, in the Collin and Dallas County Republican Party as Executive Director, and as a member of the Conner Harrington Republican Women. She was also a delegate for multiple National Republican Conventions.
In 1994, she married the love of her life, Ernest “Ernie” Tschoepe and entered the Roman Catholic Church shortly after going through the RCIA program.
As a parishioner at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Mandy served as a Eucharistic Minister, assisted with the school masses in various roles, and participated in several prayer groups. She was strong in her faith, loved her Prince of Peace community, and remains an example to many.
She was the Girl Scout Leader for Troop 3457 over the course of 13 years. She led ten girls, including her daughter Katie, to earn their Gold Award, the highest honor granted to Girl Scouts. She was also very involved at KJ Dance, her daughters’ dance studio of over 15 years, always quietly volunteering for things behind the scenes and living as a silent Godly leader. Mandy did not want to be in the spotlight; she loved her kids and was always there for them. Everything from organizing meals for competition weekends to helping with quick changes backstage, she did it all. Mandy was always one of the first to volunteer as a great organizer and did everything with grace.
Mandy also devoted her time to Ursuline Academy of Dallas, her daughters’ high school. She volunteered in the school store, served on the Parent Board as Cistercian Liaison, and was active in planning the annual Mardi Gras celebration.
Mandy volunteered selflessly for many years at Cistercian, her son Bennett’s school, serving wherever help was needed, volunteering in many positions, but most importantly, as a steadfast friend regularly gathering Cistercian moms for mass and coffee throughout the years.
As an active member of the Junior League of Collin County since 1998, Mandy served in many key leadership positions including Planning Vice President and Nominating Chair. Her Junior League friends remember her as an incredible leader, always managing things with calmness and gentleness.
It is safe to say that Mandy chose to serve others above herself in her short life on this earth. She was also an avid reader, participating in many book clubs, and she hosted an annual mother daughter cookie exchange with her daughters and their friends that was a highlight for so many.
