Luci Beach

Lucienne Marie Beach was born May 1, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to parents Lawrence Ray and Lucille (Gaby) Beach.

Luci was a graduate of the University of Maryland, with a degree in French language and culture. She worked for 8 years as a bilingual secretary for Monsanto Chemical in Brussels, Belgium. She traveled through Europe extensively.

On returning to the USA, she worked for a savings and loan office in Santa Barbara, California, for several years. Meanwhile she took up flying planes and achieved a pilot’s license for four-engine airplanes.

Luci was a little ahead of her time and was not able to find a job as an airline pilot. Later she gave up a lucrative job in California to care for her elderly and bedridden mother in Plano for over 5 years until her mother’s death.

Luci was never married but is survived by her brother Lawrence Beach of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

There will be a mass Friday, May 12, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 3100 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas.
