Louise Jacobs

March 27, 1941 — August 10, 2024

Ronesa Louise Jacobs was born in Wolfe City, Texas on March 27, 1941, to parents Tommy and Billie (Nall) Williams.  She went to Arlington High School; but before she graduated, she met her husband-to-be, Don Jacobs, at a public swimming pool. Rumor has it, she jumped off the diving board and yelled out her phone number to him.  Depending on who you ask, that may or may not be true. Her daughters like to picture that being the way it happened. They were married on May 27, 1960. and moved to Lubbock where Don was in school.

They moved to Richardson, Texas in 1962, where they were members of Northrich Baptist Church. Don was a deacon, and they made life-long friends. While in Richardson they had two daughters, Donna and Julie.  In 1969 Don and Louise moved to Lucas and joined First Baptist Church Allen.  In 1973 they welcomed their third daughter, Jill.  Their love for Christ was evident through their faithful service to their church and others.

Louise was a devoted wife and mother, who lovingly and tirelessly cared for her family. Louise loved sewing, quilting, reading and watching dancing shows and murder mysteries.  While sewing, she enjoyed listening to The Statler Brothers, Alan Jackson Hymns, and country gospel music.

Later in life, she received joy from attending Sunday School, quilting with her friends on Thursdays, lunches with friends, and cheering for the Cowboys.  Her goals were to never miss a hair or nail appointment, and to always leave the house wearing earrings and lipstick.  She enjoyed spending time with her daughters, watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren play and attending their various activities.  Her greatest wish was that each of them love the Lord and grow to know Him.

Louise is survived by her daughters Donna Jacobs, Julie McCullough and her husband Bret and Jill Vasquez and her husband Julian; grandchildren Cody Tucker and his wife Lacey, Dustin Herres, Christopher Litton, Everett Vasquez, Brandi Litton, Caitlyn Proffitt and her husband Tyler, Lauren Vasquez and her fiancé Ben Colburn; great grandchildren Aubri, Braxton and Colton Proffitt, Jacey Elliott Tucker and Baby Tucker (arriving in 2025); sister-in-law Susie Williams.  She was preceded in death by her husband Don Jacobs, parents and 3 brothers Sonny, Mike and Tommy Lee Williams.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Allen Family Funeral Options.

There will be a funeral service to celebrate Louise’s life at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 16, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Allen, 201 E Mc Dermott Dr., Allen. Texas, with Pastor Jimmy Smith officiating.
