Loren Johnson was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He touched the lives of many. He was born on October 19, 1939, and passed away on August 30, 2023. Loren's journey through life was marked by dedication to both his family and friends, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Loren's love for the Lord was a cornerstone of his life. His unwavering faith was a source of strength and inspiration to those around him. He lived his life in accordance with his beliefs, setting an example of kindness, compassion, and love.
Loren's greatest love, however, was reserved for his beloved wife, Donna Johnson. Their enduring love story spanned 61 remarkable years filled with shared joys and cherished memories. Their bond was a testament to the power of love and commitment.
Loren was a family man at heart and adored his children, grand and great-grandchildren. He took immense pride in the lives and accomplishments of Justin, Samantha, David, Andrew, Alaina, Avery, Kaiden, and Nolan.
Being a granddad was his passion and he never missed a baseball game, band performance, theater play, or any other event for his local grandchildren David and Andrew. Popcorn and malteds were a favorite for David and Andrew when spending time with grandpa. He and Donna traveled to Virginia as much as possible to spend time with Alaina, Avery, Kaiden, and Nolan their great-grandchildren. His unwavering support and presence in their lives left a lasting impact.
In addition to his faith, Loren had a deep love for sports and trains with a special passion for baseball (Go Tigers!). Whether watching the grandkids play baseball or attending games with friends and family, he relished every moment spent with the sport he adored. His enthusiasm for the game was contagious, and he shared this passion with everyone he met.
Loren and Donna attended Fellowship Bible Church North (Chase Oaks) and formed unique friendships that lasted a lifetime. They loved going on trips and spending time with this group of friends. As they moved to Bent Tree Bible Fellowship, they met new friends and enjoyed game nights of Sequence, many meals together, and traveling on many adventures. Coffee every other week with his friends was something he looked forward to.
Loren Johnson's memory will live on in the hearts of his loving family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His legacy of faith, love, and dedication to his passions, profession, and family will continue to inspire us all.
