Linda Lou Stockstill

May 14, 1940 — April 22, 2021

Linda Lou Stockstill (Barnes) was born May 14, 1940 in Ada, Oklahoma to parents Clyde and Gertrude Barnes.  She was raised in Ada and graduated from Ada High School.  Linda was married in July of 1958, raised her family in Wadsworth, Ohio and Ada, Oklahoma and moved to Plano, Texas 1985.  She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.

Linda was an exceptional artist with specialty glass carvings across the United States and Europe.  She worked as a registered LVN in Plano for 28 years.  She was a devout Christian which made her fearless without jealousy.  She played piano and loved to sing.  She also loved family holiday gatherings, was an avid NBA fan and Magic Johnson was her favorite.

Linda is survived by two sons James Thompson and his wife Carmella, David Thompson and his wife Michelle;  grandchildren Kristin Samples and David Thompson; great grandson Jonathan Samples; sister Dorothy Stroud; nieces LuJane and husband Rick, (children, Gillian and Meghan), LeAnne (Alexandra, Allyce and Ken), and nephew Anthony and wife Dawna ( children, Jackie, Houston and Noelle).  She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Gertrude Barnes and her husband Jacob Stockstill, III.

A Evening of Remembrance to celebrate her life will be held Monday, May 17, 2021 at 6:00 - 8:00  p.m. at Allen Family Funeral Options.

These things are ours for God creates within our soul
