Leroy Virgil Adams

July 23, 1935 — September 11, 2020

Leroy Virgil Adams was born in Hazlehurst, Mississippi on July 23, 1935 to the late L.V. and Ollie Kate Adams. Leroy entered eternal rest on September 11, 2020.

As a teenager, Leroy briefly lived in Detroit, Michigan.   He later moved to Northern California where he met and married the love of his life, Rosie Lee Jones in 1964 and they went on to raise 3 boys : Ricky Jones, Michael Adams, and Eric Adams

Leroy was a painter by trade most of his life.  He retired in 2004 and moved to Plano, Texas.  In his leisure time, he loved fishing, watching sports, and doing projects around the house.

Leroy loved to joke, tease, and make people laugh. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.       He was a loving and dedicated husband and father. He took his role seriously as protector and provider of his family. He was a man of immense integrity and honor, and he taught his sons by example the value of hard work and good judgment.

Leroy is survived by, and leaves to cherish his memories:  his loving wife, Rosie Lee Adams; two sons, Michael Adams; Eric (Erica) Adams; a sister, Dorothy Jean; four grandchildren, Samantha Jones, Angela Jones, Arica Jones, and Jasmine Jones; and a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

His leaving has caused sorrow, but our hope lies in the fact that he is absent from the body but present with the Lord.

A visitation will be held on September 21, 2020 at 12:00 pm,  Allen Family Funeral Options located at 2112 W. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas 75023 followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm.  There will be a live stream of the funeral service at http://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/37292

Leroy will be laid to rest at Rolling Hills Cemetery in Richmond, California.
