Leonard C Sims

Leonard C. Sims was born November 30, 1946, in Roswell, New Mexico to parents Sherman and Ruby Sims. He peacefully departed for his new eternal home after a lengthy and valiantly fought battle. November 9, 2022, his assurance that his last breath on earth would be the moment his eyes awakened face to face with his faithful and good Savior became his reality.

Leonard ran his race and finished it well.

Leonard enjoyed and served in many bible studies and small group ministries during his lifetime. He enjoyed traveling adventures be it on mountaintops or by sea. Cruises were a favorite way to meet people from all over our wonderful world.

We will miss Leonard sorely but will never forget the faithful husband, father, Pa, brother, uncle, and friend. Until we meet again sweetheart!

Leonard is survived by Glynda Sims, his loving wife of 57 years, two daughters, Michelle Morgan and husband Mike, Shae Shults and husband Tom, two granddaughters, Katie and Emily Morgan, one brother Donnie Sims and wife Diana, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members. He was preceded in death by his parents Sherman and Ruby Sims, siblings Ruby Derell Johnson and Charles Sims.

The family will receive friends for a visitation Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Allen Family Funeral Options.

Leonard will be laid to rest at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas.
