Leon Bruce Sichel was born March 29, 1960, in Fort Worth Texas. He was adopted by Alice and Tom Sichel and was raised in El Paso, Texas, along with his sister, Sara. Leon was always very active, loved competition and had the scars to prove it.
He married his high school sweetheart, Edie, and began to grow his family, to include Michael, Ayla and Seth.
He was the undisputed king of the cookout at family gatherings and had a mischievous sense of humor that passed through his bloodline. Leon was gifted with a brilliant mind and imagination. He was especially talented in the kitchen, and eventually his love for cooking led him to become a professional baker. Leon ran many bakeries until moving to Dallas in 1995 and became the production manager for Bridgford foods, where he worked until his passing on July 4th, 2024.
Leon was truly one of a kind. He lived passionately and fearlessly. He loved classic rock, the Cowboys, and riding his Harley.
Leon accomplished much in his 64 years on earth but by far his love and devotion to his family stood out. Although he could be grumpy, he loved every minute he shared with family, especially his precious granddaughter, Riley, and Dana, his beloved Great Dane. He will be greatly missed.
Leon is survived by his children Michael Sichel, Ayla Anderson and her husband Mike, Seth Sichel and his wife Martiza; granddaughter Riley Sichel; sister Sara McDonald and the mother of his children Edie Sichel.
There will be an Evening of Remembrance to celebrate Leon from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Allen Family Funeral Options.
