Laura Cecillia Fradette

Laura Cecillia Fradette, age 67, of Allen, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026. She was surrounded by her children: Derek, Laura Ashley, Katherine, Matthew and Abbey, who were all by her side and with her to the end. She was born on March 5, 1959, and was the beloved daughter of Angela and Robert Mena.

Laura grew up in California and spent much of her later life in Texas in both Houston and the DFW area.

Laura was known for her kindness, humor, generosity, and strength. She fought bravely against Stage 4 cancer and always had a positive attitude in the face of great adversity.

She enjoyed sewing, collecting anything from the Victorian era, learning Gregg Shorthand, and cooking incredible authentic Mexican food.

She found joy in listening to music, helping others, and in her faith in Jesus Christ.

Above all, Laura loved her family and is survived her children who will keep her memory with them always. She is also survived by her beloved siblings Robert, Joe, Bill, and Angie, their families, and also her grandchildren Avery and Jack.

She will be remembered for always having the right piece of advice for any given situation, and for always being a good listener.

Following the service Laura will be laid to rest at 2:30 p.m., at the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.
