Larry Thomas Taylor was born January 30, 1952 in Logan, Utah to parents Harold Thomas Taylor and Janice Taylor. He passed away September 13, 2019 at his home with his wife, children and loved ones surrounding him.
He grew up in Lymon, Wyoming where he attended 12 years of school. Then he went off to junior college and served a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Stockholm, Sweden. Afterwards, Larry attended Brigham Young University where he received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. A job offer brought him to Dallas, Texas to work for Texas Instruments for 3 years. He then worked for Gulton Luminator for the next 38 years. Soon after beginning work for Luminator, he met and married Sue Schafer, in the Dallas, Texas Temple. They were married for 34 years.
Larry loved his family. He provided a wonderful, loving, secure home for his wife and children. He loved our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ; he believed in the atonement and had a strong everlasting testimony of it. He was the most kind, patient and gentle man that we have ever known; we honor and respect him, and are grateful for all the work and sacrifices he made for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Taylor and his 6 children, Jay, Dan, Ronnie, Tina, Jared, and Carmen Taylor. He has 22 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Janice Taylor; brothers, Roy Taylor and William Taylor and his sister Camille Klippert.
The viewing will begin at 2:00 pm followed by a service to celebrate Larry's life at 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 513 Sycamore Street, Farmersville, Texas 75442.
Larry will be laid to rest in his parents’ home town of Monroe, Utah, on September 25, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
