Larry Saulter

November 29, 1955 — January 25, 2025

Larry Gene Saulter of Arlington, Texas passed away unexpectedly on January 25, 2025.  He was born November 29, 1955, in Azle, Texas to parents Elmer Jackson Saulter and Darlene Lorraine Early.

Larry graduated from Nimitz High School in Irving, Texas where he played Trumpet in the Viking Marching Band.

In his teens and twenties, Larry became a skilled bowler and competed in numerous leagues and tournaments. His vast array of awards is a testament to his dedication to this sport as well as his skill. Many of his life-long friends were acquired during this time.

Larry completed trade school and became an Electronic Technician. He was employed by the first manufacturer of Automated Teller Machines and worked both in Texas and New Hampshire. Eventually he became restless and sought other career opportunities. Larry loved to be funny, and it was fitting that he chose to pursue a career in stand-up comedy where he performed at The Comedy Club and other venues.

Larry enjoyed both professional and college football but loved the Dallas Cowboys’ most of all. His love for the game led him to participate in Fantasy Football leagues where he was a perennial leader, winning many awards.

Larry found Christianity late in life. His life’s focus changed and as was his nature, he became a devout student of The Word. He devoted much of his time and energy to researching biblical and historical text. He was especially interested in the book of Revelation and completed a first draft book entitled “Revelation: Earths Last Eleven Years” where the prophecies of Revelation were explained with historical context.

Larry will forever be remembered for his dedication to his family and friends and for his great sense of humor. He always made himself available to his family and friends in their time of need and aided all to the best of his ability. No matter the circumstance or situation, he could be counted on to provide levity and would laugh, joke and poke fun at anyone and everything. We will miss his quick wit.

Larry is survived by siblings Barry Saulter and wife Cindy, Ken Trotter, Jackie Holcombe and husband David; nieces and nephews Stacy Nations, Christy Nations, Elissa Saulter, Samuel Saulter, Fallon Gullick, Tristan and Tanner Trotter, Justin Taylor and wife Morgan, Trayse Taylor, Graysen Taylor and Garrett Holcombe; aunt Janice White;  uncle Gary Early and wife Jean; cousins Carla Alberda, Kelly Capshaw, Lana Heaton, Bret Early and Clint Early.  He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Darlene.
