Larry Odell Jeffcoats

As of September 13, 2021, Larry Odell Jeffcoats entered into God’s presence!  Following a fall at home in Plano, Texas on September 9, 2021 which produced several life-threatening injuries, Larry spent his last few days at Baylor University Medical Center – Downtown Dallas.

Larry was born at home on March 3, 1943 in Randolph, Texas.  He was delivered just before his twin sister, Jerri, and together they met their older sister Linda.  Along with their parents, Orville and Jewel Jeffcoats, they moved to Sherman, Texas where they would grow up with a brief time spent in nearby Denison. Larry graduated from Sherman High School and then went on to North Texas State University in Denton, Texas where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.  He joined the Texas Army National Guard after college.

He started his career with Anderson Clayton Foods in Dallas, then the Stange Company and retired after 30 years with McCormick & Co., Inc.  He went to work for Pepper Source for another 5 years before finally leaving the business world.

Larry married Ann Pack in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1974.  He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Ann and three sons: Aaron Jeffcoats (Katie) of Plano, Texas; Alan Jeffcoats (Dawn) of Sachse, Texas; and Mark Jeffcoats (Kristin) of Frisco, Texas.  “Pops” will be missed by 8 grandchildren: Spencer, Lucy, Olivia, Tyler, Allison, Ethan and Anna (twins) and Samantha. Also saying good-by are Larry’s sisters: Linda Smith and Jerri Helfman (Ken) as well as nephews, Scott, Lee, Andy, Rusty and niece, Shelly.

A Visitation and Viewing will be held beginning at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 17, 2021, at Hunters Glen Baptist Church, Plano, Texas 75023.

The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00pm with a reception to follow.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Restland Memorial Park in the Garden of Wisdom section.

Honorary Pallbearers: Aaron Jeffcoats, Alan Jeffcoats, Mark Jeffcoats, David Pack, Scott Smith, Lee Greer, Andy Greer and Rusty Greer.
