Larry Kent Fuson

Larry Kent Fuson, 69, of Plano, Texas, passed away on June 26, 2023. Larry was born in Anahuac, Texas on August 21, 1953 to Charles and Maxine Fuson.

A lifelong Texan, Larry graduated from Anahuac High School and furthered his education at the University of Houston. There, he earned his degree in Civil Engineering, a discipline that would come to define his professional life. Larry was not only an engineer by profession, but he also had an engineer's mind. His meticulous nature and tenacity for problem-solving were present in every aspect of his life, from his work to projects with his kids and grandkids.

Larry met Kathleen at the University of Houston and the two were united in marriage in 1976. Over their nearly five-decade union, they celebrated love, friendship, and companionship. Together they built a life filled with joy, warmth, and lots of camping trips with the pop-up. Larry was a loving father to two children, Heather Bloem and Jared Fuson, who he held as his proudest accomplishments. His dedication to his family was his true passion. Larry guided them with patience, taught them with love, and inspired them with his perseverance and hard work. Larry delighted in his role as a grandfather to his five grandchildren. His eyes always lit up when he spoke about them, and he took immense pleasure in being their “Poppa”. His best moments will be cherished and missed by all who were close to him.

We will always carry Larry's memory in our hearts, and though we mourn his passing, we celebrate the rich and meaningful life he lived. His loving spirit, integrity, and dedication will forever be remembered. May Larry Kent Fuson rest in peace.
