Kwang Chong Kim

Kwang Chong Kim, 84, of Dallas, went to be with our Lord on Friday, October 2, 2026.

Born in Korea in 1942 to Kim Hyun Sae and Jang Youn Ok. He immigrated to the United States in 1980 with his family to build a new life. He established roots in Texas and worked diligently for his family where he gave his children opportunities to build good lives.

He was a devoted church member of New Song Church and participated in various small groups. His faith was a quiet but deeply rooted part of his life, shaping the home he built and the way he cared for his family

He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Song Kim. He is blessed with four children—Kasey, Hui Yong, Chi Yong, and Austin—and eight grandchildren: Justin, Jonathan, Matthew, Austin, Evan, Alex, Alisa, and Sophia.

Services to honor and celebrate Kwang Chong Kim’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Allen Family Funeral Options in Plano, Texas.
