Kishore Raj

Kishore Raj, Age 79, of Plano, Texas passed away on October 23, 2026, in Frisco, Texas.

Born on October 5, 1947, in Nagpur, India, he was the son of Savithri and Samuel Raj. He graduated from South Point High School, IIT Bombay, and UT Arlington and went on to build a life centered around his family and community.

Kishore worked 20+ years at Nortel and other telecommunications companies, where he was known for his extensive knowledge in his field. His dedication, leadership, and kindness will be most remembered. He also taught courses at University of Phoenix where his students appreciated his passion for his instruction.

Beyond his professional life, Kishore was a man of many interests. He loved spending his time with family and friends, traveling, playing golf, and listening to music. He will be remembered most for his generous heart, his wisdom, and the deep love he had for his family.

Kishore is survived by his beloved wife Jyotsna Raj; children Kevin Raj and Simone Raj; siblings David Raj, Usha Raj, Minnie Sudarsanam and brothers-in-law Bernard Abraham, Sunil Abraham, and Dennis Abraham.

The family will receive friends for a visitation from 1-2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Allen Family Funeral Options. The celebration of his life will follow at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Christ United Methodist Church, Plano, Texas.
