Kim Oanh Thi Nguyen

Kim Oanh Thi Nguyen was born February 5, 1960, in Viet Nam to parents Van and Tien Nguyen.

She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She was a business owner, a caregiver, and someone who found joy in gardening, traveling, and cooking. Alongside her family, she left her home country and immigrated to the United States to obtain a better future for her children. Kim was a pillar of strength who sacrificed and worked endlessly for her children. She never asked anything of them except to focus on their studies so they could build respectable careers and live fulfilling lives.

Kim loved to garden and travel. While she preferred the destination to the journey, she cherished every trip taken with her family, particularly those with her grandchildren in recent years. Her garden blooms with beautiful roses and flowers. Her family and friends enjoyed many different herbs and vegetables home grown by her year-round. Her kitchen was the heart of the home; it was undeniable that she expressed her love through food.

Kim was a strong and independent woman who deeply valued her ability to care for herself.

She is survived by a family that adores her and will carry her memory in their hearts forever.

May she be happy.

May she be free from suffering.

May she find peace and reach Nirvana.

There will be prayer services conducted by Venerable Monks from Dao Quang Temple. There will be a prayer ceremony at 3:00 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2026, at Allen Family Funeral Options; followed by a visitation from 5-8:00 p.m.

The final prayer ceremony will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Allen Family Funeral Options.
