Kevin Todd Watson

Kevin Todd Watson was born May 18, 1962, in Hartford, Connecticut to parents Kenneth and Carol (Rhodes) Watson.

He grew up in Ellington, Connecticut, where he met his future wife. They later got married and had two children, Elizabeth and Jacob.

He began his career in technology and project management. His career led him to move around the country, and he also built teams around the globe. After a long and successful corporate career, he realized that he was happier working with his hands and decided to become a certified home inspector and handyman. After a few more years, he joined his son, Jacob, at the UT Southwestern Police Department as a Public Safety Officer. He later moved to the Allen Police Department, where he worked until his retirement in February of 2025.

Kevin had been actively developing a plot of land from a forest of trees. He always loved to have a project to work on. His grandsons loved to visit “the land” and explore new and exciting experiences with the patient and guiding hand of their beloved grandpa.

He loved woodworking, building and fixing things, being outside, and playing with his grandchildren. He so often had them on his shoulders when they were little. He loved to share his knowledge and guide us along the way. He was always just a phone call away, and happy to help with anything and everything.

He was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and is gone too soon. Kevin’s life and legacy touched lives all over the world. He is deeply loved and missed. Kevin is survived by his children, Elizabeth and her husband Andrew, and Jacob and his wife Jasmine. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nathan and Owen, as well as his brother Gary and his wife Sue, his brother Brian and his wife Gayle, his sister Nancy and her husband Mark, as well as his nieces, nephews, and many other loving family members and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Kevin’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 26, 2025, at Allen Family Funeral Options.
