Kenneth “Ken” Alexander Quinn, died Friday afternoon, February 24, 2023, after a battle with cancer.
Ken was born on September 23, 1962, in Carnegie, Pennsylvania to Karl and Gail Quinn and brother to Chet, Elizabeth, and Margie.
Ken graduated from Chartiers Valley High School in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, and went on to receive his undergraduate degree in Business from Grove City College and a Master of Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary. In 1989 Ken met Terrisa while working together with a junior h igh youth group and then in December of 1990 they were married in Plano, Texas. Ken earned his master's degree in counseling in 1993 from Colorado Christian University in Denver, Colorado. He worked in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program with the Denver Rescue Mission in Denver, Colorado. In addition, he served as a professor at Colorado Christian University in the School of Professional Studies, developing and teaching courses in psychology and philosophy. For the past 23 years, Ken has been a counselor with the Center for Biblical Counseling in Dallas, Texas.
Ken enjoyed late evening talks around the fire with family and friends, had a love for music, the outdoors, and enjoyed woodworking.
Ken is survived by his son Orien, father Karl, brother Chet (Virginia), sisters Elizabeth (Rick) Trautman and Margie (Bill) Payne, 8 nieces and 7 nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Terrisa, and his mother Gail Quinn.
A memorial service to celebrate Ken’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 17, 2023, at Allen Family Funeral Options in Plano, Texas.
