Kelly Ann Guffey

Kelly Ann Guffey was born April 4, 1976, in Columbus, Ohio to parents Thomas and Karlene (Patten) Lynn.

As a young child she enjoyed dance, swimming and sports and worked as a lifeguard in high school; she was also a member of the 1993 girls' basketball championship team.  Kelly graduated from Plano East High Senior High School in 1994.

She married Jody Walls and together they had 3 beautiful children.  Brehn (19) Casey (17) and Cameron (15).  Kelly was extremely involved in her children’s lives and their sporting activities; always encouraging them to work hard and to do their best.

Kelly married Stacy Guffey on May 5, 2012, in McKinney, Texas. Their marriage service was officiated by Judge John Peyton.

She worked for many years at Plano Medical Center as an anesthesia technician, but she had recently started a new position with Allen ISD.

Kelly loved animals of all sizes and due to her gentle spirit, they loved her as well.  If desired, and in lieu of flowers or food donations, Kelly would have wanted donations to be made to the Lone Star Bernese Mountain Dog Club and Rescue at www.lonestarbmd.org/donate .

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all who showed love and kindness to Kelly.

Kelly is survived by her husband Stacy Guffey; children Brehn, Casey and Cameron Walls; father and stepmother Tom and Darlene Lynn; sister Christy Coulson and her husband Colby and nieces Gracey and Rose Coulson.  Also, many loving friends.  She was preceded in death by her mother Karlene Lynn.
