Keith was the first-born child to Ellis and Theda Talley of Driftwood, Oklahoma on December 4th, 1945. He grew up on their family farm where they raised cattle and other livestock, had horses, and grew wheat and Alfalfa hay. He had two younger siblings, Craig and Roberta.

Keith had a passion for sports and was motivated as a child to overcome health issues so he could play sports with his school friends. He especially loved playing basketball. He attended college at Northwestern State University in Alva, Oklahoma and had a love for Oklahoma State University football. Keith loved his family’s farm. He spent a lot of time with his grandparents in town growing up. After Keith moved away, he looked forward to coming home to visit on the holidays. He loved hunting at their family deer camp and playing cards with the family when he visited.

Keith married his first wife Jeannie in 1972 and raised his only child Kristen. They were married until she passed suddenly in 1996.

Keith and Jeannie enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Mavericks. They had season tickets to the Mavericks for many years and both worked for the owners of the Cowboys so often got to attend Dallas Cowboy games. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Colorado where Keith spent many summers as a child. They also frequently traveled to Florida to visit Jeannie’s family. Keith really liked seafood and going to the beach. In later years he enjoyed cruising to different countries.

Keith owned a lake house on Cedar Creek Lake. After Jeannie passed, he decided to move their full time for a few years with his second wife. He enjoyed fishing with his grand kids and taking family out on his boat and watercraft. He enjoyed visiting with friends and attending church there. He sold the lake house and moved to be closer to his daughter Kristen and her husband Philip and his grandchildren. He resided in Frisco, Texas at the time of his passing in an active living community.
