Kathleen Ann (O'Neill) Clunie

Kathleen Ann Clunie (née O’Neill) passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, at the age of 80.

She was born on February 24, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Thomas Aloysius O’Neill and Francis Waldean O’Neill. Kathleen lived a life marked by faith, adventure, and unwavering love for her family. She graduated from Vacaville High School and later attended Texas Woman’s University.

Kathleen had a lifelong love of travel and was fortunate to live in many places around the world during her younger years. No matter where life took her, she had a remarkable gift for creating a warm and welcoming home. She and her husband, Michael, met in San Antonio and eventually settled in Plano, Texas, where they raised their daughters, built a wonderful life together, and formed lasting friendships that Kathleen treasured throughout her life.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Clifton Clunie, in 2023. Together, they shared a life filled with love, partnership, and devotion to their family.

She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Christine Yarbrough and her husband, Nathan, of Celina, Texas, and Amanda Gold and her husband, Jason, of Marietta, Georgia. She was a devoted and proud grandmother to Sean Peters, Brayden Peters, Conner Yarbrough, Riley Yarbrough and his wife, Alyssa, Scarlett Gold, and Oliver Gold. She was also blessed with a great-grandson, Kash, who brought her tremendous joy. To all of them, she was affectionately known as “Bea”—a title she wore with immense pride and love.

Bea’s greatest happiness came from spending time with her family. She delighted in creating memories with each of her grandchildren, especially through the special “Bea Trips” she planned—adventures that became treasured traditions and will remain cherished memories for years to come. She loved to travel and believed that the experiences shared along the way were among life’s greatest gifts.

Kathleen also had a lifelong love of elephants and delighted in collecting elephant figurines and keepsakes from her travels and throughout the years. Her collection became one of the many things that reflected her adventurous spirit and brought a smile to those who knew her best.

Her faith was the foundation of her life. Kathleen and Michael were devoted members of Grace Church in Plano, where they found friendship, encouragement, and a community they dearly loved. Her steadfast faith shaped the way she lived—with kindness, compassion, generosity, and grace.

Kathleen is also survived by her loving sisters, Connie Cullivan and Karen Richardson, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will remember her with love and gratitude.

Kathleen’s legacy is one of unconditional love, grace, and a life devoted to others. She will be remembered for the warmth she brought into every room, the faith that guided her, and the deep love she poured into her family. Though her presence will be profoundly missed, her example and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 30, 2026, in the Chapel at Grace Church, Plano, Texas.

The family finds comfort in knowing that Kathleen is reunited with her beloved husband, Michael, and rests in the eternal peace of God’s presence. Her love will remain a lasting blessing to all who had the privilege of calling her wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
