Kathleen Alsbrook, 82, passed away on July 5, 2023. It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the departure of a beloved mother, cherished friend, and remarkable individual. She left this world far too soon, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be etched in our hearts and minds.

Born on February 12, 1941, in Alice, Texas to Leo and Sara Lemoine, Kathleen brought joy and light into the lives of all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a source of inspiration, always radiating warmth and kindness, and touching the lives of countless individuals through her compassionate nature.

Kathleen was a graduate from North Texas State University and pursued a career in fashion design and merchandising. She then transitioned to be a senior financial analyst for over 20 years, dedicating her time and energy to her profession. She approached her work with unwavering dedication, displaying exceptional talent and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Kathleen had a zest for life and a thirst for knowledge. She possessed a curious mind, eager to explore new interests and engage in meaningful conversations. She had a profound appreciation for the arts, literature, and music, and her creativity shone through in everything she did including her life-long passion of sewing and her zeal to be a WWII history buff.

Those who had the privilege of calling Kathleen a friend will forever treasure the memories shared with her. She was a pillar of strength, offering support, guidance, and a listening ear to those in need. Her laughter and genuine smile had the power to brighten even the darkest of days, reminding us of the beauty that exists in the world.

Kathleen will be deeply missed by her loving family, especially her son. She was a devoted mother, sister, and daughter, providing unwavering love and support to those closest to her. She is survived by her son Mark Alsbrook, Alexandra Alsbrook, her siblings Edmond Lemoine and David and his wife Charlotte Lemoine as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Alsbrook and her parents Leo Joseph Lemoine and Sara Sawyer Lemoine.

Her absence will be felt profoundly by all her friends, especially those at Saint Elizabeth’s. The love Kathleen shared will continue to be a source of comfort and strength. In our hearts, Kathleen will forever remain, a beacon of light and a symbol of love. Though she may no longer be physically present, her spirit will live on, guiding us and inspiring us to embrace life fully.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at St Elizabeth Ann Seaton Parish Hall, 2700 W. Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas to celebrate the extraordinary life of Kathleen. Friends, family, and all those whose lives were touched by her are welcome to join and pay their respects. There will be a reception following the service.

As we bid farewell to Kathleen, we find solace in knowing that she is now at peace, forever watching over us. May she rest in eternal tranquility and may the memories we shared with her continue to inspire us to live with love, kindness, and a deep appreciation for the gift of life.
