Kara Lang Perez, beloved mother, daughter, friend, and artist, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025, at the age of 42. Born on May 14, 1983, Kara’s life was a vibrant tapestry of creativity, courage, and compassion.
Kara faced life’s challenges with remarkable grace and resilience, living with several rare health conditions — Blau syndrome, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, and Gaucher’s disease. Despite these struggles, she never allowed them to define her spirit or her art. Her strength and determination inspired everyone who knew her.
A gifted artist and lover of beauty, Kara found joy in both the fine arts and cosmetology. Her paintings and creative projects reflected her deep sensitivity, unique perspective, and love for color and form. Whether through a brushstroke or a beauty brush, Kara had an incredible ability to make the world a little brighter.
Kara was a devoted mother whose greatest joy was her family. She brought warmth, humor, and creativity into every moment shared with those she loved. Her kindness and generosity extended to friends and strangers alike, leaving a lasting mark on all who crossed her path.
Kara is survived by her beloved daughter, Haley; her mother, Chris, and stepfather, Steven; her father, Claus, and stepmother, Pat; her brother, Erik; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles who cherished her deeply.
A celebration of Kara’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Allen Family Funeral Options, Plano, Texas. A reception will follow the service.
She will be forever loved, remembered, and missed by all whose lives she touched.
