Julia Olete Macauba, at the time of her death, was 76 years old. She was born on May 27, 1945, in Capiz , Philippines, to mother Semprosa Celes Olete and Amancio Olete.
She moved to Manila and finished her High School in Manuel L. Quezon High School at Hidalgo, Manila. While she studied, she worked as a salon beautician in a small salon business establishment in Manila. After she graduated high school, she became the owner of a salon which she named "BabyLit of Faith" and continued her work as beautician. At the age of 24 she got married to Melecio L. Macauba. While she was very busy being a business woman and mother for her 3 kids in 1979, she managed to help finance her family needs while her husband worked abroad. It was about 5 years later when she and her spouse decided to stop her salon business and focus on taking care of her growing kids in their home in Marikina City. They stayed there until she and her husband migrated to the United States in 2004. She worked as a night shift custodian at Texas Instruments, Dallas for almost 14 years and decided to retire due to her heart illness that time. As a wife she was very kind, loyal, loving, trustworthy. As a mother she was very responsible, hardworking, concerned, caring and all the goodness of mom you could ever imagine. As she got older she developed heart weakness and some pulmonary illnesses but that never stopped her from still working very hard to help her family, especially her sons and grandkids both here in the U.S. and abroad. She retired from work at Texas instruments after several heart procedures which caused her to be too weak to work. She is the most wonderful example of a loving mother who would strive to give everything for her children's happiness and would always treat them equally.
She is survived by her husband Melecio Luna Macauba, three children Manny Olete Macauba, Joemel Olete Macauba and Melchor Olete Macauba, grandsons Vince Darren Navarro Macauba and Luke Nathan Pasco Macauba, granddaughters Julia Victoria Laban Macauba and Alexa Julianne Pasco Macauba.
The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Allen Family Funeral Options. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
