Judy Lee Acinger

Judy Acinger, 77, of McKinney, Texas died peacefully on December 8, 2018, with her family by her side. She was born on August 14, 1941, to Lee and Verla (Van Alstine) Alford and grew up in Corning, Iowa.

Judy married the love of her life, Frank “Ace” Acinger, and they were together for 55 years. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed traveling, playing golf, watching her grandchildren play sports and spending time with friends.

Ace’s career moved them all over the country where they met many great lifelong friends that they cherish. They settled in Texas and have lived in Plano and McKinney for the last 37 years.

Judy is survived by her husband Ace; two children, Alan Acinger and his wife Sonja and daughter Nancy Barber and her husband Steve; grandchildren Allison, Stephanie and Anderson; sister Janet Boswell; and aunt Jeanne Copley. She was preceded in death by her father and mother.

The family will receive friends for a visitation Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 7-9:00 P.M. at Allen Family Funeral Options, Plano, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas with The Reverend Bruce Bradley officiating. Judy will be laid to rest at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Columbarium. A reception will follow the service in the parish hall.
