Joseph (Joe) Luczycki

September 26, 1940 — January 31, 2019

Joseph (Joe) Luczycki, beloved husband and father, passed away on January 31, 2019 from Acute Myeloid Leukemia in Dallas, Texas. Joe was born to Alice (Kavanaugh) and Edward Luczycki on September 26, 1940 in Emporia, Virginia.

The eldest of four brothers, he graduated from Southern Oregon College in 1964 with a degree in General Studies. During his time at SOC, he met and fell in love with Nancy Lee Galloway whom he married on August 29, 1964. He was a natural people person and used those skills in developing a successful career in sales. Starting his career with Sidran Sportswear he developed a knack for selling to the US Armed forces. From there he progressed to Pendleton Woolen Mills, The Keally Company, and eventually a partner at Warren International. He was successful in bringing small brands to the marketplace and helping them gain national attention and success.

When he wasn’t in sales mode, he loved his crosswords, playing golf, and showing off his grilling skills, rain or shine! Joe was a loving father, blessed with two children and doting grandfather to his two grandchildren. He was so proud to be a grandfather and loved spending his retirement years as “Grandpa Joe”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Alice Luczycki, younger brothers Kevin and Ed, and his wife Nancy. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly Luczycki and son Edward Luczycki and his wife Karalynn-Fletcher, grandchildren Vivian and Miles, and his brother Dennis and his wife Elizabeth Foster; sisters in-law Cindy Wegner Luczycki and Carol Luczycki.
