John Gaylon Waldrop was born on October 9, 1936 in Winters, Texas to Mary Ellen (Golden) and Dawson Walker Waldrop.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mell; brother, Joe Waldrop (Thelma); his children's mother, Anita Waldrop, and step-daughters, Delene Foreman and Vicky Kearley.

John is survived by his son, Mike Waldrop (Cindy); daughters, Chris Waldrop and Glenda Poulter; step-daughters, DeWanna Iffert (Gerald) and Diane Hicks; 7 grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.

There will be a Graveside Service at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Wilson Chapel Cemetery, 100 Chapel Lane, McKinney (Lowry Crossing), Texas 75069.
