October 25, 1958 — March 13, 2018

John T. Bechtold, 59, of Allen, Texas, passed away suddenly of cardiac arrest on March 13, 2018 in route to Hawaii, excited to watch his daughter, Kelsey, become engaged to Ryan Hall. Born in Pennsylvania on October 25, 1958, John was well known to the SBA community as the owner of Accredited Valuation Services, Inc. The firm has valued over fifteen hundred closely held businesses for SBA loans, business owners wishing to sell their businesses, estate and gift tax, marital dissolution and buy-sell agreements. John was a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) that holds the prestigious Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designation offered by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He was very proud, when his daughter, Sarah joined the firm to help him expand the business. John served on the NTAGGL board as the Associate Director for over 6 years. John is survived by his loving wife Gwen of 35 years. They were married in Plano on February 26, 1983.

John was preceded in death by his mother Peggy and father Charles. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Gwen, daughters Sarah and Kelsey, soon to be son-in-law Ryan, brothers Bruce, Craig and Dan, sister Kathy, brother-in-law Sam, and his 4-legged family members. A mass celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 am on March 21, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Plano, TX.

John had a love for speed, whether running or in a sports car. Thus, when God took him - he would be proud that he went fast...
