John Pulley, age 92, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, after a long and wonderful life. Born on April 11, 1933, John was a man of humor, warmth, and unwavering faith whose presence brought joy to everyone who knew him.
John was the beloved husband of the late Hazel Pulley, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and laughter until her passing in January 2015. Together, they raised their son Martin Pulley, who preceded his father in death in March 2025.
John’s legacy lives on through his three cherished grandchildren: Jordan, Brookelyn, and Shelby, and his four great-grandchildren: Charlie, Leighton, Easton, and Cambria who brought endless pride and happiness to his life.
A loyal member of Christ Church Plano, John’s faith was a cornerstone of his life. He found great comfort and community in his church family. In his free time, he loved watching golf and cheering on his favorite baseball team, the Chicago Cubs. Go Cubbies!
Those who knew John will remember his quick wit, funny stories, and the way he could light up any room with a joke and a wink. He lived each day with gratitude and humor, embodying kindness and grace until the very end.
John will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to share in his laughter and love. Though he has left this world, his spirit and stories will live on in the hearts of those who loved him most.
A celebration of John’s life will be held at Christ Church Plano, with details to be shared with family and friends.
