John Stanton Eden, 71, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Frederick, Oklahoma, John spent his childhood living coast to coast with his parents, Richard and Jo Anne. Along the way, they made friends wherever they went, a gift John carried throughout his life. He once told his mother that if he ever ran for President, he would win because they knew everyone!
John enjoyed a successful 35-year career with State Farm in claims management. After retirement, he discovered a passion for photography, capturing special moments and the beauty of the world around him.
Above all, John was a devoted husband and an incredibly proud father to his two sons, Jonathan and Parker. His family was his greatest joy.
John’s faith was a guiding strength throughout his life. Joshua 1:9, “Be strong and courageous,” held special meaning to him, especially during his journey awaiting a lung transplant. Through life’s challenges, his courage and unwavering faith inspired those around him.
John is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Eden; sons Jonathan Eden (fiancée Ferral Roark) and Parker Eden; and mother Jo Anne Eden. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard R. Eden.
John will be remembered for his love of family, his gift for friendship, his wonderful sense of humor, and the countless lives he touched.
Though deeply missed, we find peace knowing John is healed, whole, and home with his Savior.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate John’s life and share cherished memories during visitation from 6-8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Allen Family Options, Plano, Texas.
